ACCESS Open Minds Edmonton is a walk-in clinic for youth seeking mental health supports. Their location serves young adults aged 16-25. No appointment or referral necessary.

Sliding-scale payment system. Student counsellors on site at a rate of $20 per counselling hour for those without benefits and whose gross household income is less than $40,000 per year. Student counsellors are supervised by one of our registered psychologists or a counsellor with at least 5 years of experience. Offers walk-in and individual counselling. Walk-in counselling gives you the opportunity to share during a single-time, 90-minute session. During this session you will have the chance to talk about your life in a safe and supportive space. Through this dialogue, the student counsellor will listen, help you reflect on your challenges, and develop possible solutions.

Momentum is a mental health triage centre, helping individuals who cannot pay for or wait for aid through the traditional health care system. They are a non profit, walk-in agency providing support and guidance to people in need of counselling services. Momentum is staffed by a team of volunteer, Registered Health Professionals who collaborate to provide clients Solution Focused Therapy solutions.

Community Counselling Centre views counselling as a partnership: you bring your life experience and they bring their counselling skills. They strive to create a safe space for you to define and explore your life issues. They will listen to you with compassion and respect, and without judgment. One of the most generous sliding fee scales ($20 – $140 per hour) in Edmonton. Their affordable counselling rates apply to both short and longer term counselling. They can usually offer you your first session within a week or two of completing your intake.

At The Family Centre, drop-in single session counselling is available on Wednesdays from 10 AM - 7 PM and Fridays and Saturdays 10 AM - 3 PM. No fee. counselling is provided by intern therapists who are completing their Masters or PhD in therapy or other counselling areas.

IFSSA offers culturally sensitive counselling in multiple languages. Counselling services are free for low-income individuals and families. Subsidized options are available for other community members seeking culturally appropriate counselling. Counselling is available to families, youth, children, and adults.

COUNSELLING & CLINICAL SERVICES

Counselling & Clinical Services aims to provide accessible and compassionate psychological and psychiatric services to U of A students. No fee. EATING DISORDER SUPPORT NETWORK OF ALBERTA

Visit the "Full Programming Calendar" on their website for a list of upcoming support groups
EDSNA offers support groups in Edmonton, Calgary and online, throughout the year.
Their groups are professionally facilitated and open to people with ANY type of eating disorder over the age of 18.  EDSNA does not require a diagnosis or referral and registration is through their website.
